How to win at Blackjack

The aim of Blackjack is to make a total score with your cards that is higher than the dealer's total score but only adding up to 21 or under. If either the player or the dealer goes over 21 they are bust. It is important to already have an understanding of Blackjack Card Values at this point.

The best hand at Blackjack is of course Blackjack. This is when you are dealt two cards that add up to a total of 21. Where as in all other winning hands you are paid at even money (you win the same amount you risked), when you win with Blackjack you are paid at 6-4 (you win 1.5 times what you risked). On the rare occasion that the dealer also gets Blackjack you will find that your stake is returned as the game is a tie (or a push).

The next best hand you can have in Blackjack is 21 (from three or more cards). This hand can only be beaten by Blackjack and equalled by 21.
