Blackjack Card OptionsThe simplest decision you are going to make in Blackjack is whether to hit or stand. If you choose to hit then you are going to receive another card. Should you stand this means you are happy with your cards and dont want another one dealt. Of course this decision is going to depend on what hand you have been dealt, the lower the hand, the more likely you are to hit. A Blackjack Strategy Card can help a player play with perfect strategy. During a game of Blackjack you are also going to be presented with the option of Doubling or Doubling Down. This allows you to double your stake after the hands are dealt but you will only be dealt one more card. Therefore you have to decide what card are you most likely to be dealt and will that hand then be good enough to beat the dealer. For example, Doubling is the correct strategy to play if you are dealt 11 as you are most likely to be dealt a 10, giving you 21. Of course you can be dealt a 2 and with 13 you have little or no chance of winning (the dealer needs to go bust) but when used correctly, Doubling is a useful tool to use. ![]() If you are dealt a pair then you have the option of Splitting. If you chose to split you will need to double your stake and then you can play both cards as separate hands. As with Doubling, there are times this will favour you and times it won’t. Aces are the best hand to split as you then have two decent chances of making 21. In most cases you will decide not to split and will plan on as usual. ![]() If the dealer is showing an Ace then you will be offered the option of Insurance. Insurance is a side bet at 2-1 on the dealer making Blackjack with his hand. Your insurance bet can only be half your stake currently on the table so if the dealer makes Blackjack you will break even for the hand as you will win your bet but then lose your hand to the dealer’s Blackjack. When playing online, taking Insurance is not recommended as it is a bet that will favour the house in the long run. ![]() Blackjack Card Options VideoWatch the following video to learn more about Blackjack Card Options.
